Since first meeting, one of Simon and Sarah’s key ambitions has been to ‘create something’ and work together.
They achieved this when they established Clarus Wealth in 2012. Since this they have learned more about each other and certainly how to build on each other’s qualities and resources.

Sarah has always enjoyed studying and after considering pursuing a medical career, decided she was far too squeamish and instead completed a degree in Neuroscience, followed by a Masters in Technology and Innovation Management. In order to delay settling down in the world of work, Sarah spent a short stint working in France, followed by some time in California where she obtained her Private Pilots Licence. After picking up her medical research career path again, Sarah’s father invited her to join him in his Financial Adviser business as part of his succession planning. And the rest, as they say, is history…
Sarah loves the idea of travel having been to several countries around the globe, including a 3 month trip to Mozambique with Simon, where they were based in an orphanage. However, the reality is that the delights of home comforts and the UK’s green countryside have become far more appealing, a sure sign that the young and care free days of youth have passed – something certain members of the Clarus Wealth team are happy to offer a reminder of! Sarah loves walks in the countryside, days out with the family, pottering in the garden, DIY, red wine and chocolate. Oh, and did we mention studying?
Simon’s fun loving and gregarious nature and desire to serve others has propelled him to succeed. At the age of 17 he was offered a scholarship in the US, but gave this up and organised a year in industry in Canada. He returned and achieved a 1st in his degree in Engineering Management. After completing his degree, Simon joined a team travelling to Brisbane, Australia, followed by Borneo in Malaysia, where he worked amongst the local communities and threw himself into getting to know the locals.
Upon returning to the UK, Simon moved to Surrey, where he picked up his career his engineering. However, after meeting Sarah, Simon decided to retrain in order to enter Financial Services. Anyone who knows Simon will know his dedication and commitment, as well as his sharp brain, make him an excellent financial adviser. He has built a reliable and fun team at Clarus Wealth and taken the service the company provides to the high level it is today. Simon has always enjoyed a variety of sport, including squash, running and cycling. He completed his first triathlon in 2013 and is always keen to seek out new challenges. Simon can hang a picture (reasonably straight), put up curtain poles (reasonably level) and dig holes in the garden. However, he’d prefer to be surfing, cycling, running or enjoying days out with his boys, followed by a quiet Gin and Tonic with Sarah.
Jonathan grew up in and around the Woking area and spent the early part of his life navigating the education system and playing a lot of sport. Jonathan went on to get a BA (Hons) Business Management degree at Solent University and spent the early part of his working life in recruitment and catering. Having worked at over 100 venues Jonathan decided that a change of career was in order and found himself in Estate Agency and enjoyed 10 years of property experience helping buyers and sellers alike to find or sell their homes.

Having got this foundation in the property market and working his way up from sales negotiator to branch manager, Jonathan always took an active interest in the finance side of buying a home and spent some time working for a national bank giving him a solid grounding in this new sector.
Jonathan met his wife on a mission trip to Mongolia in 2005 with their local church where they spent two weeks with the team working alongside and encouraging the church. They married in 2007 and have 2 beautiful daughters. The family are actively involved in Centrepoint Church in Guildford.
Tim graduated from the University of Chichester with a BSc (Hons) in Sport & Exercise Science. After completing his studies in 2012 he spent most of 2013 volunteering in Africa, working with the charity Soapbox in Zambia and South Africa. Whilst in Africa he was part of a team that ran AIDs awareness clinics in rural communities and built a shop for a local community. During this time Tim also proposed to his then girlfriend Natalie at Victoria Falls. He is the first point of call for clients and provides support for the Financial advisers before and after meetings.

In his spare time Tim enjoys playing all forms of sport including Football and Tennis but especially enjoys losing golf balls! He is also a keen supporter of Manchester United despite never having been to Manchester.
In May 2015 Tim and Natalie married and they now live together in Billingshurst.
